Team Jeff Fisher

In week eleven after a 19-16 loss against the Redskins, another battle was brewing between Titans quarterback Vince Young and head coach Jeff Fisher. Vince reportedly cursed out Jeff Fisher in front of the team and abruptly stormed out of the locker room. After the insubordinate act, Fisher held a meeting with the team that Young was not invited to and was asked to leave the premises.
Immediately after the incident, the media began forging ideas on whos side they were on and questioned the future of both Fisher and Young's positions in the Tennessee Titans franchise.
First off, let me start out by saying Jeff Fisher is an excellent coach. I've watched him call some plays and trick the opposing team in ways that left me speechless. However, it blows my mind if ANYONE takes the side of a childish, selfish, mediocre quarterback at best in Vince Young.

Vince Young's rookie year was crazy, once he finally got in the game. He took the team far, he played with heart and drive, and with his 6'5 232 pound statue he made it hard for any defense to take him down once he put his legs to use for a play. Then teams learned how to play against him. Stop him from being able to run the ball, force him to use that awkward throwing arm of his, and apply pressure and voila homemade recipe to make Vince Young crumble. I admit, I wanted to love him. I must also admit, Ive been off the Vince Young "Our Savior" bandwagon alot of Tennesseans were on. His antics on and off the field, would've forced any true Titans fan to reevaluate the level of trust they had in this man. Although maybe a little prematurely I started losing hope in him as early as 2007, that was based solely on the fact that he wasn't a strong passer, he couldn't perform under pressure, and he became a full out punk. He can't accept his mistakes and in my opinion fakes injuries when a game isn't going in his favor. I think he's a far better actor than FRANCHISE quarterback.

Coach Jeff Fisher is an outstanding individual. Since Vince Young has been on the roster, the Titans have had a young but strong team. One could even argue that if Vince Young would've been more of a leader with the drive and focus to win with hard work and studying, that this team could've made a Super Bowl appearance at least last year. That has to be extremely frustrating for a head coach that has had pro bowlers like Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch to support a strong defense and an offense with the likes of Chris Johnson one of the fastest guys in the league. Last year, he held a press conference supporting Young when speculation grew that Vince Young might have tried to kill himself after being "missing" for hours and getting booed at a home game. Not to mention the countless times of physical altercations Vince Young has gotten in like the strip club brawl he avoided suspension on earlier this year. Throughout it all Jeff Fisher supported Vince Young.

In conclusion, I have never played professional football a day in my life. However, I can say a team is like a family. The head coach being the daddy and the head quarterback being the big brother and in no family is it ever acceptable to curse out and disrespect daddy in front of the family. That is wrong and there will never be any justification for that. It causes division, it destroys families, and as we can clearly see it destroys teams. Hopefully, Vince wont have to reap those seeds with his new baby he welcomed in the world earlier this year.

Since the incident between Fisher and Young, Young has spent the last month in Houston and hasn't attended any games or practices since being put on injury reserve.

Basketball is in full force!

Ok after years of the Knicks being one of the sorriest teams in the NBA. The 100 million dollar contract that solidified Amar'e Stoudemire this summer has definitely paid off in a massive way for the New York Knicks organization. The man was a beast on the hardwood tonight. He made 39 points tonight against the Boston Celtics who had an eleven game winning streak on the line. Although Stoudemire still averages 30+ points per game, his teams eight game winning streak had the rest of the team playing with an intensity that not only matched his but  makes for good basketball.
The significance of this game and the confidence it still brings to the Knicks is something that even a lost of 118-116 against the Celtics can't even overshadow. The Boston Celtics have arguably one of the best teams. Yet the Knicks gave them a run for their money and the thought that this New Yorks Knicks team was a challenge cant do any thing short of scream out that this team is a force to be reckoned with.
The way Rondo jumped back on that court after being obviously injured and the way Stoudemire swapped Ray Allens shot like a pesty fly. Ahhhh, it screams, there better not be lockout next year!!!
Their opponents, the Celtics, brought a passion and determination with a dash of luck from their lucky leprechaun in Boston when they met up with the Knicks tonight at the Garden. Paul Pierce's 32 points were delivered with the consistency of a veteran but with the eagerness of a rookie that has something to prove.
This basketball season, surprisingly was the exact opposite of the NFL. And in case you missed it, check back in a couple hours to see the breath taking final 3 point shot that could've won the game in 0.4 seconds! Lets just put it like this if the scoreboard would've been 0.5 seconds, the Knicks would have a 9 game winning streak under their belt against one of the best teams in the NBA,

Monday Night Football 2010: New York Jets vs. New England Patriots week 13

This is what you call some good ole Monday Night Football or should I say The Rex Ryan and Tom Brady " Who has the Best Life" premiere and in both cases Im in the front row popcorn ready. This should be a good game. Both teams hold a record of 9-2, but I predict the New York Jets to take home this victory at Gillette Stadium. Not only because the Jets beat the Patriots earlier this season in week two with a 28-14 victory but because this team has been playing consistently well this season.

With the Jets Defense having 11 days of preparation for Brady, Jets fans can only hope Sanchez protects the ball and the defense puts pressure on this New England.A win in this game can be the difference between the #1 and #5 seeds in the playoff.
